DADA Community Block Party

On June 8, 2025, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy will host its third, annual Community Block Party in partnership with Councilwoman Heather Hutt and the City of Los Angeles. The Block Party is a civic engagement and activation event that celebrates thousands in our community and across greater Los Angeles.

A festive experience for families including carnival rides, live performances by DADA, musical performers, celebrity appearances, a Breaking competition, games, arts and crafts, live radio broadcasting, and our “Dancing in the Light” series that offers free dance classes for residents impacted by the LA wildfires. Attendees also enjoy a marketplace featuring local businesses and boutique artisans that represent our diverse community (Black, Latinx, White & Asian).

This year, the Block Party is partnering with Silverback Bboy Events for a 3-day free breaking
workshop from Friday, June 6th - Sunday, June 8th.

Workshop inclusions:
- DJ’ing Workshop
- Breaking Classes
- Pre-Qualifying Competition
- Breaking Competition on Main Stage (June 8th)
